Unfortunately Neo disappeared two days ago. I had been running into him hunting at night, farther and more boldly away from the house. However, both cats religiously arrive on the windowsill each morning for food. Neo missed the last two mornings. He will be missed.

Path of Neo (2006-2008)
Unfortunately Neo disappeared two days ago. I had been running into him hunting at night, farther and more boldly away from the house. However, both cats religiously arrive on the windowsill each morning for food. Neo missed the last two mornings. He will be missed.

Double Yoi
Tom Ondrey/Post-GazetteThere certainly have been a few voices throughout sports broadcasting that have become synonymous with certain teams and towns, but I challenge anyone to produce a character as original as Myron Cope. Cope went so far as to invent his own language. He was responsible for nicknaming our favourite Steeler players, including 'The Bus'. Many teams may have tried to copy The Terrible Towel, but Myron created the original and there will only ever be one Myron Cope.

And then there were three
The cats downed their third hawk sometime this morning.Number two was witnessed by Gabe and Lisa while gardening. The hawks were playing with a mouse high in the air, dropping it to each other and diving to catch it. This went on for some time before one of the hawks dropped the mouse into the woods and flew down to the ground to get it ... out came one cat with the mouse ... and the other with the hawk. I'll leave out the gory details of the cat finishing off the hawk. This isn't a Tarantino film, just a day in the life in Drumnacool.

Death by flower

Here I was all excited that our venus fly trap was flowering, until I looked it up on the Internet. The plant might not be getting all the sun it needs, but the damp conditions are certainly ideal. We'll see if these buds prove fatal.

Goats head soup

Gabe found a goat's skull in the woods beside the house today. We had heard the last family kept goats. (Gabe just corrected me that there were two skulls, but this one was in the best shape.)

I was instantly reminded of the Rolling Stones album Goats Head Soup. I don't remember much about the album, except as a kid, I'd pull the sleeve out for this outrageous insert image.
