I’m certain I have spoken about it before, but the one morning ritual I miss from the States was watching CBS Sunday Morning each week. Such great television. That ritual takes the form of Sunday Miscellany here in Ireland on RTE Radio 1. Just under an hour of spoken word and music. To set the scene perfectly, subscribe to the podcast, prepare yourself a proper fry up and have the broadcast on in the background. You may not be able to get the weather quite right, but many of the stories and songs will transport you to times past and present on the Emerald Isle.

You can buy a collection of the stories in book format, but that’s a different experience.
