There certainly have been a few voices throughout sports broadcasting that have become synonymous with certain teams and towns, but I challenge anyone to produce a character as original as Myron Cope. Cope went so far as to invent his own language. He was responsible for nicknaming our favourite Steeler players, including ‘The Bus’. Many teams may have tried to copy The Terrible Towel, but Myron created the original and there will only ever be one Myron Cope.
