#11. Cromleach Lodge, Castlebaldwin, Co. Sligo. €3.80
Last year Lisa and I had our anniversary dinner at Cromleach Lodge and it was stellar. Cromleach Lodge is reknowned for its fine dining, loathed by me for its decor (sorry!) and features spectacular views of Lough Arrow.
An authentic pint it is not, even served in a bizarrely shaped pint glass. Blasphemy. Stick to the fine wine and fine dining at Cromleach. I can’t quite explain it, but the pint almost tasted like a lager? It was the first pint pulled of the evening, as there wasn’t another person except waitstaff in sight.
I knew I should have chanced a pint down the road at the petrol station which was also a little pub. Maybe tomorrow night?
