Gabe was one win away from becoming the first American (according to his headmaster) to play gaelic football at Markievicz Park in Sligo, though a badly played first half led to an eventual 5-11, 4-7 defeat to Achonry. The day couldn’t have been more beautiful (perhaps even a bit too hot) minus the outcome.
However, the Geevagh girls are on to the finals, continuing a mini dynasty from this part of the county. Up Geevagh!
