What a good pint can do

29 April 2007 · 1 Comment

Maureen already arrived in Ireland a Guinness lover, but my father wasn’t taken by the bitter, black stuff. That all changed with the perfect pint. “That’s all I’m going to drink here from now on.”

So trust me, it’s not hooey that the pints are better here. The perfect pint requires some know-how and skill, but it also requires some locality as well. The invitation is open to anyone who wants to come over and have a pint with me at one of the local pubs. Slainte!

That WAS the perfect pint! It’s too bad that I can’t enjoy all those pints we had in Ireland in the U.S. It’s just not the same!
