Follow the green road …

18 February 2007 · No Comments

You really feel as if you are settled when you begin to host overnight guests at your new house. This weekend we had two friends from Clare spend a wonderful weekend. The highlights were certainly two walks along the backroads.

When people visit, you tend to take them to a few places you have already been and then you begin to say, “Why don’t we go there. We’ve never been there before.” We didn’t stray too far, but walked farther past the windfarm and discovered a ruin of a settlement and some gorgeous views. On Sunday, we walked away from the windfarm and found this “green road” that disappeared into a field and followed it to some houses.

Gabe marinated some organic lamb loin chops overnight and we had a lovely dinner this afternoon with our friends and the neighbors. It was great doing a barbeque (“barbie”) on a brisk February day. This is what living is all about.

There is a limited availability of rooms, so please book now.
