No Muji Mojo

10 December 2006 · No Comments

I had read about MUJI a number of years ago and never had the opportunity to visit a store until this evening. MUJI deals in minimalist, well-designed housegoods under a supposed unbranded delivery. There is definitely validity to the argument that MUJI is indeed its own brand. There were a few interesting items, but all in all, I had seen much of the same elsewhere, perhaps better made, and for less money. This may be the ultimate stocking stuffer stop. Still, I left empty handed.

On the contrary, Tabio is my cup of tea. Being a sock fanatic, I was quickly ushered from the store and hope to find some stockings in my stocking.

Lisa was in the zone at OSKA, which featured great womens duds with an Eastern influence. Apparently they are a German company. I tried the check the prices on a few things, but my hand almost caught fire when I touched the tags. Perhaps we’ll win the lotto.
