I don’t think it gives away very much to say that justice prevails in Manon des Sources, the second part of Jean de Florette. Emmanuelle Béart is a vision of beauty as Manon, the grown daughter of Jean the hunchback who learns that not only did her two neighbors conspiracy lead to the death of her father, but that the whole village kept quiet about the hidden spring beneath their property.
You can decide how long to wait between watching the two parts, as I had an uneasy time after watching the first film and waiting a week to witness Manon’s revenge.
