On the way into town today, Lisa saw a man dancing with a tree. It was a small fir tree, and he was waltzing across the front of his garden. I’ve heard of talking to plants. A quick search of the Internet introduced me to an actual dancing plant.
At the supermarket, they were playing Canned Heat by Jamiroquai, which most people remember as the number Napoleon Dynamite danced to during the school assembly at the end of the film.

If you haven’t seen them already, the TED conference has published their TED talks for the first time. Some of the presenters are simply amazing and one of my favorites (so far) is Sir Ken Robinson. He wants to know why we don’t teach dance to kids and has some great stories illustrating his point. He wants the education system to treat creativity with as much respect as mathematics. Amen. Not only is his talk inspirational, he has fantatstic comic delivery.
I can’t tie it back to dance, but I thought I spied a gnome teaching a class at the IT. Strange days. Strange times. Well, I’m off to find a disco …
