We considered trying to smuggle Stewie into Ireland but imagining being fined or deported over a baby turtle didn’t fill us with joy. It was amazing how much personality this little fella had (for a turtle). Gabe found him during a fishing trip at school and carried him in his backpack for a few hours. He was freed into the Monocacy Creek this evening. Here is some more info on yellow-bellied slider turtles and how to care for them.
